COTC offers multiple pathways to career success.

Overview

Choose from associate degree and certificate pathways.

An associate degree requires completion of at least 60 semester credit hours. COTC offers three types of associate degrees:

  • Associate of Arts and Associate of Science: Complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree and transfer to any public four-year university in Ohio.
  • Associate of Applied Business and Associate of Applied Science: Prepare students for immediate employment after graduation with a specific career focus, and in many cases, can also transfer to a four-year university.
  • Associate of Technical Studies: A customized degree designed by the student with guidance and approval by COTC.

Some associate degrees also allow students to choose a major. A major is an area of specialization within an associate degree.

COTC also offers two certificate options for students.

  • Short-Term Certificate: An award for the completion of less than 30 semester credit hours for a specific career.
  • One-Year Certificate: An award for the completion of 30 semester credit hours or more for a specific career.
