The Judy Ratliff Stansbury is awarded to graduates of the COTC human services technology who have been accepted into The Ohio State University College of Social Work BA or MSW program.
Founders Hall Renovation
The renovation of Founders Hall will lead to enhanced student learning, heightened student success, and a more elevated student experience for Ohio State Newark and COTC students.
COTC Emergency Fund
The COTC Emergency Fund provides small grants to students facing an unforeseen financial obstacle such as a car repair bill or utility shutoff notice, so they can stay return focus to their studies, continue working toward completion and ultimately earn their degrees.
COTC Alumni Scholarship
Supported by COTC alumni, this scholarship is awarded to new or continuing students.
COTC Diversity Scholarship
The COTC Diversity Scholarship is awarded to students with demonstrated financial need pursuing a degree in the college’s healthcare technology or law enforcement technology programs. Priority will be given to African American female students followed by African American male students and then students of all diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds.
Veterans Emergency Fund
The Veterans Emergency Fund will provide financial assistance for veterans, active duty service members and reservists for expenses caused by unforeseen circumstances that threaten their academic progress and are not covered by military educational benefits or scholarships.
Elizabeth Barnhart Award for Nursing Excellence
The Elizabeth Barnhart Award for Nursing Excellence was established by her family to honor the memory of COTC nursing student Elizabeth Barnhart’s commitment to the nursing profession and to offer support to graduates of COTC’s nursing technology program as they begin their careers.
Radiologic Science Technology Alumni and Friends Scholarship
Established by longtime professor Ken Ollish, the Radiologic Science Technology Alumni and Friends Scholarship will be awarded to at least one second-year radiologic science technology student with demonstrated financial need.
Officer Thomas W. Cottrell Jr. Award for Character and Dedication to Public Service
The Officer Thomas W. Cottrell Jr. Award for Character and Dedication to Public Service was established by Cottrell’s mother, Melissa Osborn, and is awarded to a graduate of each Peace Officer Basic Training academy to assist with equipment purchases and other expenses associated with beginning a career in law enforcement.
Faculty and Staff Premier Scholarship
This scholarship is funded by COTC employees and awarded to students with a minimum 3.5 GPA and at least 45 hours earned at COTC by the end of spring semester with demonstrated financial need.
