Blue Line Superhero Run

5K, 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run

The Blue Line Superhero Run, a collaboration between COTC and the Licking County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), honors law enforcement personnel as they begin National Police Week. Proceeds from the Blue Line Superhero Run will benefit COTC’s Officer Thomas W. Cottrell Jr. Award for Character and Dedication to Public Service and the LCSO’s Stuff the Backpack fund.

Independence Day Concert and Fireworks

In collaboration with our generous community sponsors, the Gilbert Reese Family Foundation, Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark warmly welcome you to the Independence Day Concert and Fireworks held annually on July 3. The evening’s celebration begins with live music and local food vendors leading up to the crowd-favorite fireworks display.

Statues on the Newark Campus

Our campus is filled with public art in the form of 18 life-size bronze sculptures, most of which have been generously donated by J. Gilbert and Louella H. Reese, through their Thomas J. Evans Foundation. Take a walking tour of campus to see them all, or enjoy the images below.

Licking County Public Art Photo Contest

Community members submitted photos of public art in Licking County for a photography contest between May 1, 2024, and July 31, 2024. The winning photos are part of a permanent display on the Newark campus in the newly renovated Louella Hodges Reese Hall.
