Visit our new veterans lounge in Warner Center 205E. The lounge is open during regular building hours, typically 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday during the semester. The space is open to all student veterans, current military and their families, but requires a code. Contact Stephanie Rowland in the Office of Student Life for details.
Whether you are still active in the military or have already transitioned to the civilian world: COTC is here to help you invest in your chosen path. With over 50 degrees and certificates, affordable tuition and free campus resources, we are here to support you all the way.
Thank you for your service and we look forward to serving you.
There are several federal and state of Ohio VA Education Benefits available for COTC students depending on military branch and length of service. The Department of Veteran Affairs determines your GI Bill ® availability after submitting your VA application and provides you with a Certificate of Eligibility for your education benefits. The COTC veteran and military team are here to help you determine the best option available for you based on your current military status, career, and future education goals.
ONGSP will pay the base tuition only (general and instructional fees) for Ohio state-assisted colleges and universities. Any additional fees such as lab, course or assessment fees are student responsibility. For approved private or proprietary degree-granting institutions of higher education, the program will pay 100% of the average tuition charges of state universities. ONGSP is not available for courses not applicable to or leading to an Associate or the member’s first Baccalaureate degree with the exception of diploma-granting nursing programs.
We encourage students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for grants, scholarships and loans.
Financial aid can be used in addition to other military/student veteran educational benefits.
Student Financial Services can assist students:
- COTC Scholarships
- Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship (Fry Scholarship) from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: a scholarship for children and spouses of certain veterans
- AMVETS Scholarships
