What We Do…
The Teaching and Learning Center at Central Ohio Technical
College was created to support excellence in teaching and
learning through a variety of professional development
initiatives. The TLC seeks to support faculty and staff
professional development through strategic programming, coaching,
mentorship, and by leveraging peer-to-peer communities of
learning.
The Teaching and Learning Center provides a place for faculty to
explore their most innovative and courageous educational
pursuits… Whether it’s exploring high-impact pedagogical
practices or implementing transformational educational
technologies, TLC staff are ready and willing to support you
however we can!
About the Center
During the summer and autumn of 2022, crews were hard at
work constructing the physical home of the Teaching and
Learning Center in Hopewell Hall, Suite 72. This space includes:
- A state-of-the-art video and audio studio that the COTC
community can use to produce high-quality multimedia
content.
- A dynamic classroom space where groups can gather for
meetings, collaborative projects, training sessions, and more!
- Open office space where users can work independently or in
small groups
- The office of the Associate Dean for Online Campus and
Teaching & Learning
If you are interested in reserving the collaborative
workspace for your team or class, you can do so through
25Live. The collaboration space can accommodate
approximately 20-25 individuals, depending on the configuration
of the room. The room also features whiteboards and a smart TV
for presentations and hybrid meetings.
