We exist to foster a campus environment where people of all backgrounds can thrive. We do this by leading the campus diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and supporting and educating students, faculty, staff and community members.

We offer the following services to COTC faculty, staff and students.

Workshops

All workshops are 60 minutes but can be adapted to fit shorter or longer time slots upon request.

Consultations

Are you working on a project, or have you run into an experience you want to talk through? We can meet with you individually or in a group setting to discuss ideas and potential next steps.

Classroom presentations/guest lectures

We present to students in classes across the campus upon request. Topics can be discussed beforehand with the instructor.

Policy review and creation

Are you creating or revamping a policy? We can collaborate to help it fulfill our institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. 

Event sponsorships and collaborations

We collaborate with organizations hosting events that connect to our mission and are open to discussing ideas.

Grant partnerships

We collaborate with internal and external partners on grant opportunities that connect to our mission.

Community engagement partnership

We partner with community organizations to support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in our surrounding community

DEI Community Conversations

Monthly campus dialogues on timely diversity, equity and inclusion topics in small groups

DEI Book Read

Twice per year we read books on various of diversity, equity and inclusion topics and discuss them in small groups on campus.

RISE Professional Development Network

A professional development network that is focused on the unique experiences and needs of those identifying as women and open to people of all gender identities on campus

Community Engagement

Each spring we host the Community Intercultural Relations Conference (CIRC) that brings together local corporate and nonprofit leaders for a day of learning about building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community.

We engage with multiple community organizations throughout the region to support mutual goals of increasing access to higher education to all populations across Central Ohio.
