Faculty, advisor, and staff involvement in this program is critical to how successful tutoring is for students. Encouragement given to good students to consider tutoring, completing tutor competency forms, and taking time to talk with employed tutors about educational goals can increase the strength and worth of the tutoring experience for peer tutors and students alike. If we are short of tutors, faculty members are contacted for suggestions of possible tutors, or to make an announcement in classes encouraging good students to become tutors.

Jennifer McDonald and Brittany Misner may have earned their business management degrees a couple decades apart, but they brought their business acumen to the same table in 2016 and have teamed up since then to propel the Licking County Chamber of Commerce forward.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the home healthcare provider program, the graduate will be able to:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of human body structure and function.
- Describe safe medication practices for the elderly client.
- Identify safety considerations for care of the medically complex child in the home care setting.
- Discuss effective strategies for promoting wellness and quality of life for the older adult.
Equipment and Furniture Guidance for Remote Work
Staff and faculty who work remotely at their own request will not be provided office furniture nor services (e.g. internet or phone service) for remote work, unless otherwise required by law.
Staff who are required by the college or university to work remotely will be provided or reimbursed for certain equipment or expenses as agreed upon with the Ohio State Newark dean and director and/or the COTC president.

The Central Ohio Technical College Nursing Program is fully compliant with the Ohio Board of Nursing regulations and Ohio Revised Code requirements for nursing educational programs content. Students completing a nursing education program at Central Ohio Technical College are eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam for Ohio licensure. Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the Nursing Technology – One Year Certificate Program in Practical Nursing is to provide health education programs for emerging and practicing healthcare providers, accomplished through the values of integrity, quality, leadership, affordability and innovation.
Learning Outcomes
- Functions efficiently as a member of the health care team to provide safe, competent, quality care that meets the diverse needs of patients in a variety of health care settings.
- Communicates effectively with individuals, families, communities, and members of the health care team.
- Utilizes technology and a spirit of inquiry to consider resources to question and guide nursing actions.
- Provides patient-centered nursing care across the lifespan and promotes the health of patients within the family context.
- Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for one’s own nursing practice consistent established, legal, and ethical standards.
