Faculty Resources

Post

Faculty, advisor, and staff involvement in this program is critical to how successful tutoring is for students. Encouragement given to good students to consider tutoring, completing tutor competency forms, and taking time to talk with employed tutors about educational goals can increase the strength and worth of the tutoring experience for peer tutors and students alike. If we are short of tutors, faculty members are contacted for suggestions of possible tutors, or to make an announcement in classes encouraging good students to become tutors.

Classroom visits are also available upon request. A representative from the Tutoring Center will bring information about all of the educational support services offered on campus to share with the students in attendance. Each presentation takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes. For more information or to schedule a visit, please contact the Tutoring Center Coordinator.
