NEWARK, Ohio, April 2, 2020 — Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is eliminating enrollment barriers for community members who want to get onto a career path now. The college has temporarily modified its admissions policy to “test optional” through autumn 2020 to allow all who want to take advantage of COTC’s career training and upskilling opportunities to enroll without delay.

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is hosting an application event to help students submit the free COTC application for admission and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 4–7 p.m. at the Coshocton campus.
COTC to offer more than $1.2 million in new scholarships for healthcare students
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) was recently awarded $612,039.96 in Choose Ohio First (COF) funding from the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The funding will be used to provide scholarships to students in the college’s nursing and allied healthcare programs over the next five years. Moreover, COTC will match the COF award by offering an additional $612,040 in scholarships from institutional and donor funds.
Peace Officer Graduates Sworn In

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) saw 15 cadets graduate from the Peace Officer Basic Training (POBT) program on Friday, Sept. 26. Each cadet successfully passed the state certification exam on their first attempt and were all sworn in as sheriff deputies at the graduation ceremony.
