COTC Premieres Viewpoint Feature and Launches New Mascot
On Wednesday, April 24, Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) hosted COTC Illuminated, an event which held the exclusive premiere of the Viewpoint television series featuring COTC, as well as the unveiling of the college’s new mascot.
COTC, Ohio State Newark Host Community Intercultural Relations Conference
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark hosted the 16th annual Community Intercultural Relations Conference (CIRC) on Friday, April 11. CIRC brings staff, students and community members together to share experiences, foster belonging and strengthen community relationships.
Associate of Arts
The Associate of Arts (AA) offers students the opportunity to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at relatively low cost and to transfer seamlessly to any public college or university in the state of Ohio. Students pursuing the AA may take courses that fit a variety of four-year major pathways. Many of these courses are offered both day and evening at all four of COTC’s campuses, as well as online.

Private School Students
Private School Students have the opportunity to participate in College Credit Plus (CCP) with Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) in three different ways:
- COTC college courses are taught by high school teachers at the high school. (Partnering high school)
- COTC college courses are taught by COTC faculty at the high school. (Partnering high school)
- COTC college courses are taught by COTC faculty at any of COTC’s four campuses and/or online
Electrocardiograph Technician
Short-Term Certificate
Under the supervision of physicians and/or nurses, electrocardiograph technicians operate equipment that records and measures heart activity (EKG/ECG diagnostic examinations) and report results to the treatment team. These measurements are used to assist cardiologists and other physicians in diagnosing and treating problems with a patient’s heart and blood vessels.
Students study and learn about human biology, medical terminology, selected cardiovascular medications and effects, basic patient care, and professional standards.

Noncredit Training
COTC partners with Ancora Corporate Training, an established national provider of CDL training, to offer this highly sought-after non-credit training locally. COTC’s Ancora Class A tractor-trailer program provides the optimal balance between classroom learning and on-the-road training to prepare students for the CDL Class A exam.
