Fire with EMT
Short-Term Certificate
Students who pursue the Fire with Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate gain entry-level skills in both firefighting and emergency medical services. Many fire stations seek students with skills in both firefighting and emergency medical services.

Policy changes have been made by the State of Ohio due to COVID-19. New students for the 20-21/21-22 school year are eligible to participate in CCP if they have a high school (unweighted) GPA of 3.0 or higher.
COTC is providing placement testing for students on a limited basis for eligibility and admission consideration to CCP. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we prefer to test students remotely; however, some on-campus testing is available if needed.
