Entrepreneurship

Short-Term Certificate
One-Year Certificate

Overview

Being an entrepreneur means having the ability to identify opportunities and take them from idea to implementation. Whether that be starting a new business or a new venture in an existing business, having an entrepreneurial spirit is a key ingredient to success in any career. The entrepreneurship certificates introduce students to key concepts applicable to entrepreneurship and running a start-up company.

COTC offers two certificates in entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneurship Short-Term Certificate can be completed in just two semesters (less than a year) and provides an introduction to entrepreneurship and business management, microeconomics, marketing and financial practices.

The Entrepreneurship One-Year Certificate builds upon the short-term certificate with additional courses in accounting, human resources, PC applications and business law.

Both entrepreneurship certificates allow students to focus on the skills that will help them progress in their careers and help them develop companies that serve customers with a dedication to the needs of owning a small business.

Students who complete either or both of the entrepreneurship certificates are well on their way to completing the Associate of Applied Business in Business Management Technology
