Cost and Refunds

Cost

Taking the WorkKeys Assessment at the COTC Coshocton Campus costs $50. The test is available for both COTC students as well as community members. The cost includes the Graphic Literacy, Applied Math and Workplace Document exams. If you do not need all three exams, please reach out to the COTC Testing Center to discuss options.

Please note that students interested in enrolling in a program offered in partnership between COTC and C-TEC are able to take their first WorkKeys Assessment at C-TEC for free.

Fee Breakdown

When registering for a WorkKeys Assessment, you are responsible for the following fees:

  1. Testing fee: This fee covers the cost of the WorkKeys Assessment itself.
  2. Sitting fee: This fee supports the administrative and operational costs associated with proctoring and managing the exam at the Testing Center.
  3. RegisterBlast fees: These fees are paid directly to RegisterBlast for the use of their scheduling and registration platform. Please note that while the testing fee and sitting fee may be eligible for refunds under certain conditions, RegisterBlast fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

Fee amounts are subject to change over time due to factors such as licensing costs and administrative expenses.

How to Schedule

To schedule a WorkKeys Assessment, please email the COTC Testing Center at COTCTesting@mail.cotc.edu. Your email will be forwarded to a staff member who will schedule the exam with you. Once you have time scheduled, you must pay through RegisterBlast.

Completion of all three exams is expected within three weeks of the first exam. If you do not complete all exams within this time period, there will be a fee of $20 to complete all remaining exams. If there are extraordinary circumstances that barred you from completing all three within the time period, you may fill out the WorkKeys refund/reschedule form describing the extraordinary circumstances. If approved, you will be given a new deadline to complete remaining exams.

Refunds/Rescheduling

Refund/reschedule request must be made at least 24 hours prior to your testing appointment. Request for tests scheduled on Monday must be made no later than the relevant time the previous Friday (i.e., a refund request for a 10 a.m. test on Monday must be made no later than 10 a.m. the previous Friday). Refund requests received with less than 24 hours’ notice will require filling out the WorkKeys refund/reschedule Form. To receive the form, please request it via email from the COTC Student Success staff member with whom you scheduled your appointment. Approval of the form will only be considered under extraordinary circumstances and must include appropriate documentation. Extraordinary circumstances may include, but are not limited to, medical emergencies or other unforeseen events.
