The performance of the COTC radiologic science technology program is reflected through program effectiveness data defined by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Program effectiveness data includes the program completion rate, credentialing examination pass rate and job placement rate.
Completion Rate (Annual measurement of the number of students that began the program divided by the number of students that actually completed the program)
- The program completion rate for 2019 was 75%; 28 students began the program and 21 graduated.
Five Year Average Credentialing Examination Pass Rate (Number of students passing the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination on the first attempt within six months of graduation.)
- The program’s five-year average credentialing examination pass rate is 100%; 80 students attempted and 80 passed for a 100% pass rate (the national pass rate is 89.4%).
Five Year Average Job Placement Rate (Number of students who gain employment in the radiologic sciences within one year after graduation versus the number that graduate and are actively seeking employment.)
*The JRCERT has defined “not actively seeking employment” as: 1.) Graduate fails to communicate with program officials regarding employment status after multiple attempts, 2.) graduate is unwilling to seek employment that requires relocation, 3.) graduate is unwilling to accept employment due to salary or hours, 4.) graduate is on active military duty, or 5.) graduate is continuing education.
- The program’s five-year average job placement rate is 100%; 80 graduates were actively seeking employment during the past five years, and 80 obtained a position for a job placement rate of 100%.
