On the Newark campus, construction of the 60,000-sqaure-foot John and Mary Alford Center for Science and Technology (pictured) is underway. The Alford Center includes a simulation center featuring the continuum of healthcare settings from emergency transport, through x-ray and sonography, to anesthesia and surgery. The building is anticipated to hold classes in autumn 2021.
The Pataskala campus is undergoing a $4.2 million renovation to make way for new high-tech laboratory, classroom and academic support spaces. The addition of nursing and allied health, science, and computer labs enable COTC to expand academic offerings in healthcare and information technology, among possible others. Completion is anticipated in summer 2021.
