National Radiologic Technology Week® (NRTW) 2022 is Nov. 6-12. Created by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists in 1979, this weeklong event is celebrated each year during the week of Nov. 8, the day that German physicist Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the X-ray in 1895.

Radiologic technologists interact with patients to produce images which demonstrate the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the body. Medical diagnosis is highly dependent upon visualizing the inside of the body.

COTC offers an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Science Technology. The two-year (five semesters) degree program is by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. The radiologic science technology program at COTC combines extensive classroom, laboratory and clinical learning situations to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely practice radiology. Over the past five years, 100% of graduates have passed the credentialing exam and gained employed in the radiologic sciences.

COTC is a fully accredited, public college dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs. COTC has four campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
