New Partnership Offers Hope with Free Career Training
A trailblazing new partnership is forming in central Ohio that will build dreams and careers. Park National Bank, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) have collaborated to help some of Licking and Franklin County residents change their future for the better by offering free education for in-demand careers.
COTC Awards Shawn Dugan for Community Service
As a single father, Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) student Shawn Dugan leads by example – an example that has shown service to the community is both noticed and rewarded. Dugan, of Saint Louisville, is the recipient of the J. Gilbert Reese Next Generation Community Leadership Award and a $2,000 scholarship for spring semester 2021.

COTC Offers First Bachelor’s Degree
Applications now open for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Technology
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is launching its first bachelor’s degree program to meet workforce demand in the central Ohio region. The Bachelor of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (BAS in DMS) prepares students for careers as registered sonographers. This is a selective, competitive program. Applicants must first apply to COTC and then complete the DMS program application by Aug. 15.

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) has released the President’s Honors List and the Dean’s Honors List for summer semester 2023 to recognize students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.
Clarissa Ann Howard estate donation supports nursing program
Howard, a lifetime Newark resident, passed early this year at the age of 94. She had a long-standing legacy with COTC. When COTC was chartered in 1971, she played a key role in the development of COTC’s nursing program.
