Associate of Applied Science in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology

Overview

Mechanical engineering technicians make thermofluid, mechanical and hydraulic systems work and keep them working. These technicians play key roles in many aspects of today’s highly technical environment, especially in the emerging area of green technologies. Learn in the classroom and in hands-on laboratories that use a mixture of actual components and computer simulations. Students may also focus on energy efficiency, alternative and renewable energy sources, and lean manufacturing.

Students who successfully complete the requirements for this program are awarded the Associate of Applied Science in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology. To accommodate working students, some courses are available during the evening, and students may enroll full or part-time.
