Marketing and Public Relations Office Wins National Advertising Awards

The Office of Marketing and Public Relations at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark won three awards in the 36th annual Educational Advertising Awards.

The national competition recognizes the field of educational marketing and advertising.

COTC received a gold award for its 2020 Impact Report and a silver award for its 2021 Viewbook. Ohio State Newark received a silver award for its 2020 Progress Report. Senior Graphic Designer Leslie Lenzo designed all three projects. Assistant Director of Marketing and Public Relations Rene White wrote and edited the publications, with assistance from Director of Marketing and Public Relations Suzanne Bressoud and Communications Coordinator Jessica Huffman.

This year, more than 2,000 entries were received from more than one thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

 The Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, is the largest, oldest and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country. Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals.

Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark have forged an outstanding array of educational opportunities for the central Ohio region and beyond.
