COTC Accepting Alumni Award Nominations

News

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is accepting nominations for three alumni awards: the Outstanding Alumni Award, the Transitions Alumni Award and the John C. “Jay” Barker Community Service Alumni Award. The announcement of award recipients will take place at the COTC Alumni Holiday Reception in December. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 28.

To nominate alumni, you must submit a nomination form and supporting documentation, such as a resume or written statement explaining how the candidate meets the award criteria. Additional details and nomination forms are available at cotc.edu/awards.

Outstanding Alumni Award

This award recognizes COTC alumni whose personal and professional achievement brings honor and distinction to the college and whose individual attainment or contributions have improved the community.

Transitions Alumni Award

This award recognizes COTC alumni currently working at the college in either a faculty or staff capacity, whose work advances the college and makes a difference in the lives of current students.

John C. “Jay” Barker Community Service Alumni Award

COTC created this award in memory of John C. “Jay” Barker (Business Management Technology, 1986), whose incredible dedication to the college and the community epitomize the qualities and characteristics this award seeks to recognize. It recognizes COTC alumni who have made a significant impact on their local community through their leadership, involvement and service. They may serve on a community board, lead a community project, inspire others to volunteer their time and talents, or advance the college through their service.

COTC is a fully accredited, public college dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs. COTC has four campus locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala.
