Alumni Council

The COTC Alumni Council consists of up to 20 alumni volunteers who serve as an advisory committee to the director of advancement for the purpose of suggesting and implementing programming and events for the Alumni Program. Council members are nominated and elected by the council, and serve staggered three-year terms. The council convenes for a one-hour meeting four times per year.

Alumni interested in serving on the Alumni Council should contact the Advancement Office at 740.364.9514.

College Credit Plus makes it possible to earn college and high school credits at the same time. Eligible students in grades 7-12 can earn college credit through COTC for free.

Newark Campus Housing

On-Campus Housing

Central Ohio Technical College students are eligible to apply for on-campus housing provided by The Ohio State University at Newark. Housing is limited and awarded by a lottery system. Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Housing contracts are processed according to students’ date of admission to the college/university. To enter the housing lottery, you must submit a contract, a space reservation fee and a nonrefundable housing filing fee by the deadline (late April).

Completion Plan

Central Ohio Technical College is undertaking a definitive shift in how we guide, support, teach, and care for our students. The 2022-24 biennial completion plan reflects the strategic goals of the institution during this two-year period. Additionally, the goals within this plan are aligned to the college’s current strategic framework. At its core, this completion plan is our roadmap for how we will improve our service to students, help them stay on track, and ultimately move them towards a successful graduation.
