Newark Campus Residence Halls

Pictures of residence halls at the Newark campus

Living on campus is one of the best ways to get the most from your education and to enhance your college experience. The Newark campus provides on-campus housing to limit the stress of starting college and to create a link between the academic, social, and recreational lives of our students. It is easy to make yourself at home in our residence halls, which offer an independent style of living just steps from class. The hall provides fully furnished kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms. Each building is air conditioned and comes complete with laundry facilities.

Your campus residence puts you in the middle of everything happening on the Newark campus. You and your neighbors may decide to take in one of many local attractions or possibly take a surprise spur-of-the-moment road trip. Maybe you’ll challenge the students next door to a pick-up basketball game or play in one of the intramural leagues. You could take advantage of the scenic bike path that winds through Newark and is right outside your back door or just enjoy a picnic on a peaceful evening.

Students should keep in mind that housing contracts are processed according to the student’s date of admission to the university/college. Students will be required to return a contract, space reservation fee, and a nonrefundable housing filing fee within three weeks of receipt. Each student will sign a separate contract. Personal preferences will be honored as availability allows. Students will receive room and roommate information along with a billing statement.

Off-Campus Housing Information

Finding A Place To Live

Information on available apartments and realtors is provided for the benefit of Ohio State Newark and COTC students and potential students. These listings are not approved or endorsed by the University, so please be certain to take the same precautions you would with any rental property. If you are interested in a particular listing, contact the landlord directly to get further information regarding the unit, and potentially set up an appointment to view the place.

Because of the variation in the quality of housing in the Newark area, it is highly recommended that you do not commit yourself to a place without seeing it first.
