an associate degree or one-year certificate program in
semiconductor manufacturing.

films, microsensors, etc., require extremely clean environments
to avoid contamination.
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) was recently awarded
$612,039.96 in Choose Ohio First (COF) funding from the Ohio
Department of Higher Education. The funding will be used to
provide scholarships to students in the college’s nursing and
allied healthcare programs over the next five years. Moreover,
COTC will match the COF award by offering an additional $612,040
in scholarships from institutional and donor funds.
On Nov. 8, Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) Chancellor
Randy Gardner named the latest group of Ohio colleges and
universities designated as Collegiate Purple Star campuses for
their efforts to support students with military backgrounds.

National Radiologic Technology Week® (NRTW) 2022 is Nov.
6-12. Created by the American Society of Radiologic
Technologists in 1979, this weeklong event is celebrated each
year during the week of Nov. 8, the day that German physicist
Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the X-ray in 1895.

Service Alumni Award. The deadline for nominations is Friday,

This year’s book selection is The Second Life of Mirielle
West by acclaimed author Amanda Skenandore, whom
participants will have the opportunity to meet at a book
discussion and signing on Oct. 22.

Greenstein Award, and Vorley Taylor, of Newark, received the 2023
President’s and Dean/Director’s Diversity Award.

an established national provider of CDL training, to offer this
highly sought-after non-credit training locally. COTC’s Ancora
Class A Tractor-Trailer program provides the optimal balance
between classroom learning and on-the-road training to prepare
students for the CDL exam.
