Joseph and Nelda Bernat Scholarship

Overview

This scholarship was established by Kent Bernat to honor his parents and challenge students to do their best in college.  Mr. Bernat served on the COTC Board of Trustees and was very involved in many Newark charitable organizations. 

What are the requirements to be considered for this scholarship?

• Academic Performance: This scholarship recognizes students who have a history of good academic performance
• Academic Program or Major: Students must indicate on their COTC application that they are pursuing a certificate and/or degree in Engineering.
• Financial Need: Financial need is determined by a student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Geographic Location and/or High School: Preference given to students who live in Licking County.

How can a student be considered for this scholarship?

Students must meet the requirements and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for this scholarship.
