The Office of Financial Aid is here to assist students and families through the financial aid process. In most cases, students are eligible for some type of federal financial aid regardless of income. Our staff looks forward to assisting you in financing your education. We welcome your comments and suggestions and encourage you to contact us with any questions.

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark are following Governor Mike DeWine’s recommendations to minimize the risk of exposure and slow the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in our communities. These decisions will remain in effect indefinitely and be reevaluated on an ongoing basis based upon recommendations from health and government officials regarding the health and safety of our communities.

Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College’s (COTC) four campus locations (Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala) will implement modified campus operations and continue indefinitely. Both institutions will remain open for business remotely.  Student Financial Services staff will be available by email at  Student Financial Services and by phone at 740-366-9435 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.

The mission of the Office of Financial Aid is to strive to remove financial barriers to student enrollment and retention. We strive to provide our students and parents with the information they need to make good decisions about attending and paying for college. We seek to assure that any qualified student who desires to pursue and complete an education has access to the appropriate financial resources to pursue their academic goals.
