Create your own plan of study to meet your unique career goals.
Students can create their own degree plan and earn an Associate of Technical Studies (ATS) at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) through two different options:
The One-Year Option A state program that allows career and technical center graduates and industry professionals to be eligible for college credit to complete an Associate of Technical Studies.
List of Currently Approved Pathways Ohio's approved and necessary credentials for transferring career center credit to a college degree plan.
Combine Areas of Study
COTC doesn't have a degree that fits your career goals? Not a problem. Work with an academic advisor to map out courses drawn from two or more programs currently offered at COTC to create your own degree that fits your career goals.
For example, students with an entrepreneurial spirit may want to own a business and study areas within accounting and graphic and web design. An advisor can help students select and map out classes to create a customized ATS program plan for completion.

Any customized ATS program plan created must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Academics Affairs for students to complete an ATS degree at COTC. An advisor can help students submit an ATS program plan.
