The Ohio Peace Officer Training (POBT) program meets the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission requirements and allows successful graduates of the program to take the state certification exam. Students will participate in over 728 hours of training.

Graduates of the Peace Officer Basic Training (POBT) program will earn college credits which can be applied toward an Associate of Applied Science in Law Enforcement Technology (LET).
- POBT is also offered as part of the curriculum for the Law Enforcement Technology degree program.
Working in the area of law enforcement can be difficult and challenging; however, it presents a rewarding and diverse career selection. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the median annual wage of police officers and detectives was $55,010. Students enrolled in the Accelerated POBT academy while pursuing the Law Enforcement Degree Program are eligible for financial aid.
