Bachelor Degree Programs at OSU-N
Ohio State offers more then 170 different undergraduate degree programs,
all of which can be started at The Newark Campus. There are currently five
undergraduate degree programs that can be completed at Newark.
Business
Elementary Ed.
English
History
Psychology
Business
Students earn a Bachelor of Science
in Business Administration from the esteemed Fisher College of Business
at OSU. This program can be completed entirely in the evenings. While
most of the general coursework is completed in the traditional classroom
setting, many upper-level business classes are offered via distance education.
Elementary Education (Pre-certification)
Students interested in a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree
need to be available to take some day classes. Those interested in teaching
will continue on to a master's program in elementary
education, which The Newark Campus also offers.
English
Students who major in English earn
a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Humanities. While many classes
for the degree can be taken in the evenings, some English classes are
only offered during the day.

History
Like English, History majors also
earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Humanities. Most of
the classes required for the degree are offered in the evening; however,
some history classes are only offered during the day.

Psychology
A major in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Students have
the choice of earning either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science
degree. At Newark, the BA degree can be earned by taking night classes.

Graduate Degree Programs at OSU-N
Masters of Education (M.Ed.)
Master of Arts (Elementary Education) (M.A.)
Master of Social Work (M.S.W.)
Prerequisites for Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program
Masters in Education - Prospective students interested in teaching
who have a bachelor's degree but are not teachers can apply for the Masters
in Education program. Upon graduation, students are eligible to teach
in the elementary grades. This is a full time, day only program.

Master of Arts - For those currently teaching who would like to
earn a master's degree while continuing to work, the Master of Arts degree
is a part-time, evening only option. This degree typically takes about
3.5 years to complete.
Masters in Social Work - Students interested in pursing a Master's
degree in Social Work can complete half of the MSW program at Newark.

Prerequisites for Master in Business Administration - While the
MBA is not offered on The Newark Campus, all prerequisite work for the
Fisher College's MBA program as well as most other local MBA programs
is available at Newark. For more information about what business classes

Non-Degree Option
Interested in taking a class or two but don't want/need a degree? Enter
as a Continuing Education student and take classes that interest you or
will help you advance in your career. You still receive a grade and have
an official transcript, so if you ever decide to pursue a degree, these
classes may apply towards it!
