COTC Board of Trustees


Barry Riley

A resident of Newark since 1958, Mr. Riley has a long record of community and public service with an emphasis on education. Involved as a member of the COTC Board of Trustees since 1991, Mr. Riley has been active in a variety of community organizations including the Newark Chamber of Commerce, the Newark Rotary Club, Private Industry Council of Central Ohio and the Licking County Personnel Management Council. His civic involvement includes serving as a board member and officer for the Newark Midland Theatre Association, Newark Library Board, Licking County Chapter of the American Red Cross, United Way, Leadership Tomorrow and Operation Feed. 

Until his recent retirement, Mr. Riley served as President and Chairman of United Carriers Corporation, a Newark based motor carrier group, where he had been employed since 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
