This online service is available during hours the Newark campus math lab is open.


Additional FREE online math support (Etutoring and Smarthinking) is provided by

the Tutoring Center.  Call (740) 366-9168 for more information.


What We Do:

The Math Lab specialist and trained math tutors, (including full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and students), are available to answer individual math questions on a one-on-one basis.  Students can work on textbook problems or work online using the lab’s laptop computers.  These services are available on a drop-in basis at no cost to the student.  There is also a tutor phone line (740) 366-9121 for students to call and get math help, when they are unable to come to campus.  The COTC Math Lab has many supplementary resources available as well - videotaped lectures, solutions manuals, math handouts, workshops on video, information on math anxiety and math study skills, and various math reference books.

In addition to the Math Lab, there are numerous other services provided, including:

- the Communications Resource Center (CRC)

- the Tutoring Center

- the Learning Skills Specialist.
