LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the completion of the Digital Media Design Technology plans of study the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate academic and design skills that require teamwork, discipline, organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
2. Employ digital design applications and a variety of styles in the development of specific design projects.
3. Apply basic design concepts and vocabulary to effectively communicate with clients, peers, and design professionals.
4. Manage and deliver quality projects from theoretical concepts to final deliverables, on time and on budget.
5. Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, formulating and responding to constructive team and individual feedback.
6. Recognize and apply contributions of other fields to their chosen design field.
7. Assemble a portfolio of completed work that is not only technically competent, but illustrates the qualities needed to effectively compete in the student’s chosen digital design field.

In Autumn 2012, Central Ohio Technical College will convert from the Quarter system (4 quarters per academic year) to the Semester system (2 Semesters and 1 Summer Session per academic year).
Students entering COTC in Summer 2011, Autumn 2011, Winter 2012, Spring 2012, or Summer 2012 will begin their program in the Quarter system.
If transitioning from the Quarter to the Semester system, please visit the COTC Think Semesters web page regularly for updates and important additional information.
Students should meet with their Academic Advisor to map out individual paths to their degree.
