Law Enforcement Technology 

Protect Your Community with a Law Enforcement Degree at COTC

The Law Enforcement Technology program at Central Ohio Technical College’s Institute for Public Safety offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Law Enforcement Technology. This plan allows students to receive a degree and complete the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) requirements simultaneously. The law enforcement technology program will give successful students the ability to explore a diverse career field. Program completion includes the Basic Police Certification. Final Semester features advanced patrol and special operations courses.

Working in the area of law enforcement is a challenging and rewarding career. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the median annual wage of police and detectives was $55,010. Upon successful completion of the program students receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Law Enforcement. Graduates have the ability to continue and receive a bachelor’s degree.
