Ordering and Pick-Up Procedures

Newark Dining Services is excited to welcome students, faculty, staff and guests back for the fall semester!

This semester, we are returning to full-service operations with a slightly new ordering process designed to improve convenience and efficiency.

Grab-and-go convenience

Guests may enter the dining operation and purchase grab-and-go items such as snacks, sandwiches, beverages and other convenience items and pay directly at the register. There is no need to wait in the made-to-order line if you’re only purchasing a quick item like a bottle of soda or a packaged snack.

Made-to-order meals

We will continue to use Grubhub as our ordering platform for all made-to-order menu items. You can place your order in one of two ways:

  • Using the Grubhub mobile app
  • At one of our in-person ordering kiosks located across from our coffee shop

Our in-person kiosks now offer the same full ordering capabilities as the Grubhub app, allowing you to browse the entire menu, customize your order and pay at the kiosk so there is no need to stand in line to pay for your order.

Once your order is complete, simply pick it up from the Order Pickup Station located near the coffee shop at the front of the dining operation.

Payment information

All transactions are cashless.

We accept:

  • credit cards
  • debit cards
  • BuckID
  • dining dollars

Cash will not be accepted.

Mobile ordering instructions

  1. Download the Grubhub app and create an account.
  2. Select The Ohio State University – Newark Campus Table of Contents as your location.
  3. Browse the menu and place your order.
  4. Pay using an approved payment method (credit card, debit card, BuckID, or Dining Dollars).
  5. Pick up your order from the Grubhub Pickup Station located at the front of the dining operation near the coffee shop.

Don’t have a mobile device?

No problem! Simply use one of our Grubhub ordering kiosks located across from our coffee shop to place and pay for your order.
