Relationships between men and between women are just as likely to be abusive as relationships between women and men, and they can be just as dangerous and harmful.

All populations experience sexual violence regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, geography, ability, appearance, sexual orientation, and gender identity. LGLB and Transgender communities face the same types of sexual violence as heterosexual communities and there is evidence to suggest that lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, transsexual and queer people may experience these forms of sexual violence at a higher rate than heterosexual people.
