Knox Campus and City of Mount Vernon Partnership

COTC partners with the City of Mount Vernon to share space at 236 South Main Street. The city occupies the lower levels, while COTC offers classes and student services on the top floor.

This collaboration keeps COTC’s strong presence in Knox County and opens doors for future opportunities like internships and community engagement.

Parking:
Students should park in the Gay Street parking lot, behind the campus building, marked with COTC signage. After 5 p.m., you may park in any lot around the campus.

Degrees and Certificates at Knox

COTC offers some career-ready associate degrees and certificates in full* at the Knox campus through a combination of in-person and remote learning, including courses that are delivered online, via Zoom or in our video-connected classrooms.

Individual general education courses for COTC’s 50+ programs or transfer-friendly credit to other state universities are also available.

*While we make every effort to run the following programs in full at the Knox campus, some courses and/or programs may be canceled due to low enrollment.

Admissions

Regular admission to a degree or certificate program is open to all who have earned a high school diploma, completed homeschooling at the secondary level or passed the General Education Development (GED) test. COTC may also grant prior-learning credit for certain life and career experiences. New students must submit the free application for admission.

Academic and Personal Support

A student success coach helps you build academic and college-life skills to prevent, prepare for and respond to common obstacles students encounter in higher education.  A coach can also connect you with the academic support services available through the Student Success Center (testing and tutoring services) and the Office of Student Life (personal counseling, disability services and student conduct).
