I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Ohio University in 1970 and married Dan McKay, another OU graduate.  While my husband was stationed with the Air Force in southern California I taught at Colton High School and earned my Masters of Arts in Education from the University of California, Riverside.

We returned to Ohio in 1973 and I was fortunate to teach at Heath High School until 1975 when we started a family.  In 1977 I began teaching with COTC as an adjunct lecturer and at OSUN in 1979.  Since 1992 I have taught Basic Math through Calculus classes with COTC and was an advisor to Phi Theta Kappa for nine of those years.

I was born and raised in my beloved city of Cleveland and have lived with my husband Danny in California, Heath, and Newark where we had three children.  Jen is an NYU graduate living with her husband and their daughter in Berkeley, California and is an events coordinator.  Dave graduated from MATC in Culinary Arts and works in northeastern Ohio for the Balfour Company.  Our youngest daughter Kate teaches K-1 at Hebron Elementary School after graduating from Kent State University.

Our favorite times are those with family, extended family, and friends.  But I also love playing bridge, tending my yard and home, and being in on or near the water.  Dan and I are fortunate to have been able to travel through most of the continental US and always look forward to a new National, State, or Metro park to explore.
