Computer DVD support

The three main programs used on the Newark Campus are:

  1. CyberLink PowerDVD

  2. InterVideo WinDVD

  3. RealONE Player

(the links lead you to the websites for each player where you can get more information)

To view a DVD:

  1. Insert the DVD into the drive with the DVD logo on front

  2. Open the program of your choice from the Start Menu*

  3. Hit Play in the program

*Each teachers station has a default player for the DVD. If you wish to use a different one than the default, simply close the default one down and open the one you like from the "Start Menu"

Cyberlink1.) CyberLink PowerDVD

To use CyberLink's PowerDVD:

  1. Click "Start"

  2. Move up to "Programs"

  3. Move to "CyberLink PowerDVD"

  4. Click on the "PowerDVD" shortcut

The control panel looks like this (Move your mouse over the buttons to see what it does):

To view in fullscreen, right-click the mouse in the main window and select the option "Window/Fullscreen"

Intervideo 2.) InterVideo WinDVD

To use InterVideo WinDVD:

  1. Click "Start"

  2. Move up to "Programs"

  3. Move to "InterVideo WinDVD"

  4. Click on the "InterVideo Win DVD" shortcut

Real One3.) RealOne Player

To use InterVideo WinDVD:

  1. Click "Start"

  2. Move up to "Programs"

  3. Move to "InterVideo WinDVD"

  4. Click on the "InterVideo Win DVD" shortcut

RealPlayer One tends to hide where the video is displayed. To uncover it:

  1. Find the Real One Tab

  2. Left click and hold

  3. Drag down (see image)
