Angel Learning
Management System
After a year-long evaluation and review, COTC has decided to go with
Angel Learning
as its new
learning management system (LMS)
for online courses. The LMS will
also serve as an online tool for face-to-face classes. We are piloting 12 courses during Fall
Quarter and we will be rolling it out campus-wide Winter Quarter 2009. Stay

Faculty Spotlight

Patrick Courtney has been chosen for the fall 2008-quarter faculty spotlight.
Patrick has continually shown interest in utilizing different
technologiesto improve the quality and accessibility
of his lectures to his students. As of now, he faithfully records his lectures using the
iTalk (a recording device that attaches
to the bottom of an iPod) and posts to his faculty webpage. This is a great way to accommodate the study needs of his students.
Patrick understands that sometimes a class will be missed, or a second look at the material is necessary. This has given him the
motivation to provide this invaluable service to his students.
Great work, Patrick!
