The goal of the COTC Gateway is to provide students Access, Progress, and Success. The Gateway is the home to the offices of Admissions, Academic Advising, Registration and Records, coupled with a focus on quality customer service. The Gateway strives to offer seamless service and a centralized location of key departments that are necessary to students as they pursue a certificate or associate degree.
Standard COTC Gateway Hours of Service:
Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Facts about the Gateway:
Gateway staff members have been extensively cross-trained to allow students not only to visit one location, but to also meet with one staff member to accomplish a multitude of tasks.
Gateway services are available at the college’s four locations: Newark, Coshocton, Knox, and Pataskala.
The Gateway received national recognition in the summer of 2008 as a recipient of the “2008 Innovation of the Year Award” by the National League for Innovation in the Community College.
As students enter the COTC Gateway they are greeted by a frontline customer-centered staff who will answer questions and guide students. A staff of Student Service Specialists which has been cross-trained to assist students in a streamlined and efficient manner.
The Gateway staff assists those considering college, transfer students and continuing students through a wide array of services. Various services provided within the Gateway include:
