OSUN Math Center Begins Online Tutoring Video Archive
For years the OSUN Math Center has prided themselves on the talent and resources they have had at their fingertips; and rightly so. They have been recognized many times as a “model for learning” to other campuses and have also been recognized by many notable faculty and staff members as a “key part of campus operations.” They have gained that kind of respect through years of hard work and thinking outside of the box… and they’re still going strong.
Just recently, the OSUN Math Center began collaborating efforts with the telCenter to start an online tutoring video archive. The goal in mind was to turn old stacks of papers into engaging presentations that could be easily accessible to students. With a little bit of guidance, they chose to begin the journey using the campuses’ coursecasting software called Panopto. The software allows the Math Center to capture live video, powerpoints, and screen captures all simultaneously; and then quickly post it to the web for access.
