Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Welcome to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Website.  Within this site you will find all the information necessary to embark into an exciting career in Sonography.   

Central Ohio Technical College offers two concentrations of study in Sonography.  The General concentration focuses on the performance and comprehension of Abdominal, Obstretical and Gynecological Sonography.  The Cardiovascular concentration focuses on the performance and comprehension of Cardiac and Vascular Sonography.  

Sonography graduates of accredited programs are in demand nationwide.  Central Ohio Technical College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, overseen by the Joint Review Commission on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  Graduates of our programs are eligible to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography exams specific for their concentrations.  These registries are known and accepted as a national standard.  No licensures are currently required.
