Greetings From The Front Desk
The front desk staff is comprised of one full-time employee,
Kim Foster, and Students Service Specialists, Veronica Rine, Di Anna
Palmer, and Jennifer Abraham. The staff is available to
answer general questions, check on status of applications and schedule
appointments for COMPASS placement, selection exams, health information
meetings, and one-on-one meetings with advisors.

800-9NEWARK ext 422 from anywhere in Ohio or 614-292-4094 ext 422 from
Columbus. You may also e-mail appointment requests to:
acadvis@cotc.edu. Be sure to include your name, social
security number, major and reason for appointment.
Things you need to know:

walk-in times are for current students with a quick question or for
placement review
-
new students need to make an appointment with an advisor for
transfer information, questions and scheduling

new pre-health students must attend an information meeting prior to
setting a one-on-one appointment with an advisor
-
all students must request official copies of high school and/or GED
and if applicable college transcripts to be sent directly to COTC
-
students should come prepared with any questions, concerns or
preliminary scheduling plans for a walk-in or appointment with an
advisor
-
our office is a high-traffic area; if you call and do not reach
someone, please leave a message, and we will return the call as soon
as possible
-
when calling for an advisor, please be aware that your advisor may
be with another student and unavailable to take your call – ask the
front desk your question, they may be able to help, or you can leave
a message for your advisor
