Congratulations on making this very important decision!
No previous College Experience
If you have not
attended another college, you need to contact the Admissions Office
first. They will go over all the important information and resources
that first time students need to know. Their office can be reached at
(740) 366-9222 locally, (614) 292-4094 extension 222 from Columbus or
1-800-9NEWARK extension 222 from elsewhere in Ohio. There are 4 steps
that you will need to get the ball rolling:
- Apply for
admission either in person or
online
- Pay the
$20 application fee
- Request
that your official high school transcript be sent to us
- Take the
free COTC placement assessment

Previous College Experience
If you are
transferring or have attended another college or university, you can
make an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor. From Newark,
please call (740) 366-9422; from Columbus, (614) 292-4094 ext. 422; and
from elsewhere in Ohio 1-800-9NEWARK ext. 422. You will need to complete
the following steps to enroll:
- Apply for

- Request

What do I Need?
When you come
in for your appointment, it's a good idea to be prepared. A few things
that will help you and your advisor include:
- Any
questions you may have about your program or the school
- A copy of
your transcripts for reference (we will still need an official copy
to be sent directly from any previous schools)
- If you
plan on submitting your application or already have, please bring
the $20.00 application fee. We accept cash/credit cards or checks
can be made out to COTC.
