Opportunity for Input on Securing the Future, COTC's 2009 - 2013
Strategic Plan
The Strategic Planning Council (SPC)
is urging all members of the Central Ohio Technical College community to
read the draft plan and pass along their feedback. Please submit your
feedback to Jackie Parrill at
Parrill.9@osu.edu no later than September 30, 2008.
The strategic plan is a result of a
process that included an examination of data for both the internal and
external environments, includes a situational analysis of the internal
strengths and weaknesses, and the external threats and opportunities.
Once that analysis was completed, the SPC discussed alternative goals
that will strategically place the institution into a position of
competitive advantage. These actions were then evaluated and selected
for implementation by examining them in light of the institutions
purpose, vision, mission, and values; as well by prioritizing them
according to their potential for strategic success. The resulting
strategic plan is a formal, written plan that focuses our efforts, sets
the direction, and charts the College’s future. As you read and respond
to the document, we ask that you consider whether the text effectively
meets those objectives.
