    Great Contributors Sculpture Series Enhances Campus

    October 29, 2014—Newark, OH—Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark were honored to receive a generous donation of sculptures from the Thomas J. Evans’ Foundation, titled the “Great Contributors Series” created by sculptor Gary Lee Price.

    Artist’s Reception and Newark Earthworks Events Honor Native American Culture

    NEWARK, OH, October 27, 2014 — More than 75 works focusing on the rich culture of the Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Indians by Potawatomi artist, illustrator, and educator Candi Wesaw are currently featured in the LeFevre Hall Art Gallery. Eighteen elders of the Pokagon Band travelled to Newark from southwest Michigan and northwest Indiana to attend the Gallery Opening on Sunday, October 12.

    Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University have been named to the 2015 Military Friendly Schools® list. The Military Friendly Schools® list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

    Annual Remembrance Day National Roll Call

    For the fourth year in a row, The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) will participate in the Remembrance Day National Roll Call from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10th at the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre, on the shared campus of Ohio State Newark and COTC.

    COTC Announces New Leadership

    Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) has recently announced two new appointments to support strategic growth strategies for the college. Teri Holder has been promoted to Vice President for Extended Campuses and The Gateway, and Brad Pulcini has been named the college’s Director of Gateway Operations.

    Central Ohio Technical College Seeking Public Comments

    Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The College will host a visit December 8 and 9, 2014, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
