NEWARK, Ohio, January 31, 2017 – The business management technology program at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) recently received international accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
In a letter to COTC President Bonnie L. Coe, Ph.D., ACSBP Chief Accreditation Officer Steve Parscale, Ph.D., wrote, "The Associate Degree Board of Commissioners met on November 14-15, 2016 and approved the business program accreditation at Central Ohio Technical College. Congratulations! The business programs at Central Ohio Technical College are fully accredited."
The mission of the ACBSP is to promote continuous improvement and recognize excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world. ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation body for business education supporting, celebrating and rewarding teaching excellence. The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and emphasizes to students that it is essential to learn. ACBSP accredits business, accounting and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master and doctorate degree levels. Recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in 2001 and again in 2011, ACBSP was the first to offer specialized business accreditation at all degree levels.

The business management technology program at COTC offers a curriculum designed to provide instruction and experiences essential for employees in today's business world. Business students are required to take introductory courses in such areas as management, human resources, marketing and entrepreneurship which provides an opportunity for students to apply skills in decision-making, analysis and critical thinking.
COTC was ranked number one in Ohio and number 19 in the nation by PayScale in its 2016-17 College Salary Report ranking the best community and career colleges by salary potential.
