COTC Students Earn 100% Pass Rate on Diagnostic Medical Sonography OB/GYN Credentialing Exam for 10th Consecutive Year
NEWARK, Ohio, Oct. 14, 2019 – In a field that the global average credentialing exam pass rate is consistently in the 70% range, Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) students in the diagnostic medical sonography technology (DMS) program with a specialization in obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) have beaten the average for 10 years now. Not only have they beat the average pass rate that includes both first-time and repeat test-takers, but they have all passed the exam on the first try.
"I began teaching the OB/GYN and women's health courses at COTC in 2009. I am so pleased to announce this amazing accomplishment for all involved," said Melinda Shoen, EdD, diagnostic medical sonography program director and associate professor. "Ten years of 100% pass rate on the OB/GYN credentialing examination is so exciting!"
