Still time to register for COTC free summer workshops for youth 10-18

NEWARK, Ohio, May 9, 2019—Workshops are filling quickly, but there's still time to register for Central Ohio Technical College's (COTC) College ASPIRE 2019 summer workshops. This free program for youth 10-18 offers hands-on, technology-based activities taught by college faculty and industry experts on a college campus. Workshops will be held Monday through Friday, June 10-14, at all four COTC campuses: Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala. Free transportation is available within 10 miles of workshops at the Knox, Coshocton and Pataskala campuses. Parents and families are invited to the College ASPIRE Showcase on Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the COTC Newark campus, where all participants' work will be featured. To register online visit cotc.edu/collegeaspire. For more information or to receive a paper application contact Tonia Osborn at osborn.239@cotc.edu or 740.755.7122.

One student in each workshop will be selected as the Shooting Star and awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship toward his or her future education at COTC. Parents and guardians can learn more about college preparation, admission, financial aid and how students may earn free college credit in high school by attending The Next Step Session during College ASPIRE week.
