Interior Designer to improve drawing-winner's living space on campus

NEWARK, Ohio, May 4, 2016 - Having the expertise of an interior designer at your fingertips is a luxury few can afford. However, one person attending the book presentation of renowned interior designer Sher Sagar will be given personal advice to improve a room of their choice.

On Wednesday, May 11 at 1 p.m. Sagar will be at the Barnes and Noble bookstore, located on the shared campus of Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). Sagar will share her top 10 decorating ideas from her latest book, Paupers to Palaces: 101 Interior Design Tips on How to Take Your Plain Pad to a Perfect Palace All Under Budget! During the event attendees will have an opportunity to have their copy of the book signed by Sagar, as well as enter a drawing that will allow one person to receive personalized design advice for their room.

Paupers_Palaces_Cover.jpg"It is my hope that this book would be a pocket guide to go shop with; to know what questions to ask, how products are made, or how to start a decorating or remodeling project, so that each person can make the very best decision that is right for them," said Sagar.

Sagar's passion for design started early in her life, and with training and diligence her passion has taken her all over the globe, from London to Thailand. Sagar has been practicing design for close to two decades now. She was the first student at the Art Institute of Colorado to win the Interior Design Education Council National Award. She was also selected for Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids, Dining by Design, for her creative ideas in decorating an 11'x11' space. Sagar's early success has continued to open many doors. Sagar is the feature designer for Real Estate Showcase TV, Urban Trendsetter Live and Channel 10TV News.

Immediately following the signing, there will be a decorating after-party held outside John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center atrium. Guests can chat with Sagar and bring photos of their living spaces that are in need of creative money-saving tips and ideas. During the session, one attendee will be chosen as the focus of her talk, and will receive individual design advice for one room of their choice. This event is free and open to the public.
