Go Green and Get the Job
January 6, 2015 – Newark, OH—The Workforce Development Innovation Center (WDIC) at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) will offer a five-day Solar Electric Workshop beginning Monday, January 26, 2015, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Participants will learn to design and install solar panel systems and complete a certification exam in photovoltaics. The Solar Electric Workshop features a combination of hand-on labs and class lectures. Participants are prepared to take the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA) Level 1 PV certification exam, which is administered as part of the workshop. ETA certification is internationally recognized and a distinct advantage for job seekers and businesses entering the renewable energy industry.
The workshop will be held at COTC's Newark campus in the John Gilbert Reese Center at 1209 University Drive, Newark, Ohio 43055. The $970 cost includes all course materials and ETA exam fee. The ETA exam fee is reimbursable through the GI Bill (up to $150). This workshop is not eligible for college credit or financial aid.
